John Joyce of Burbank Water and Power had a busy day showing off the City's specially converted Toyota Prius which is now a Plug-In Hybrid Electric Vehicle (PHEV) that showcases how a vehicle can get upwards of 100 miles per gallon of gas. He also was gathering signatures for a petition to US auto manufacturers to encourage them to make such vehicles available to the general public. Also available from the BWP staff manned tables at the showcase were information handouts and free CFL's [compact fluorescent light bulbs] to all who attended.
