Balancing her flashy career with marital turns out to be a complicated challenge for the worldly Tess, whose down-to-earth husband struggles to support her ambition while keeping their marriage from falling apart. Following Inside the Book will be a screening of the thought provoking documentary film Trashed [77 min.] will be screened @2:00 PM in the Central Library auditorium. The garbage business is one of the fastest growing industries in the United States. Trashed examines America's "disposable" society with its waste stream fast approaching a half billion tons annually. Everyone interested in the future of sustainability should see this film. After the film, stay for "Talking Trash" with City of Burbank Recycling Coordinator Kreigh Hampel hosting a Q & A session.
